The term "dupe" has been thrown around a lot in the makeup community. "Dupe" is short for duplicate and is defined as a cheaper alternative for expensive makeup. As a #BrokeBaddie , I know all too well of that sad feeling when you're dying over a new product and you know you can't buy it. Personally, in my hunt for makeup I tend to lean more towards dupes. (Until, I have the coin to buy all the high end makeup my little heart desires.) Here are my top five dupes for your favorite high end makeup.

This mascara is the perfect dupe for the Two Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. Lash Paradise has the same creamy formula and gives the lash the same volume and length as its competitor. At $9.99, Lash Paradise has become my go to mascara when I don't have the extra coin to purchase the Two Faced's $23 cult favorite.

In my opinion this has the Benefit Porefessional beat. The Baby Skin Primer leaves the skin feeling (not to be cliche) smooth as a baby's bottom and free of pores. It is perfect for all skin types and tones. Standing at $6.99 the Baby Skin is an amazing alternative if you can't get your hands on Benefit's $31 dollar primer.

Now I may be throwing my shady hat on but I'm trusting my makeup community on this one. Colourpop's No Filter Concealer is the perfect dupe for Kylie Cosmetics' Skin Concealers because (*drumroll*) It's the exact same concealer. Word on the street is that the Kylie Cosmetics is made in the same lab as Colourpop. Even if our tin hat theory is wrong, the No Filter concealers are full coverage and leave a flawless finish for $6. Leaving the $20 Skin Concealer at the pack of the pack.

Disappointed in the Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture Palette? Me too sadly but have no fear. The Makeup Revolution Division Palette has shadows that pack a punch and leave the Subculture palette in the dust. Both palettes have almost the same shades, but Makeup Revolution's packs the pigment and the blendability that Subculture lacked. With little to no fall out, you don't have to worry about your shadows falling out of the pan. At $7, this palette is a no brainer to buy if you're looking for a smoky and sultry palette like the $42 dollar Subculture palette.

One of the first releases of the 2017, these concealers have been an Ulta must have. They are dupes for the highly coveted Tarte Shape Tape Concealers. These concealers are full coverage, long lasting and leave a natural finish just like the popular Shape Tape Concealers. Can't get your shade in Shape Tape? Makeup Revolution has 18 different and wide varying shades. Makeup Revolution knocks it out of the park with their dupe game with these concealers. Standing at $7, these concealers have the power to take Shape Tape out of the #1 spot for favorite concealer.
