The base of your makeup can either make or break your whole application. Today, I'm here to share with you my flawless foundation routine.
Personal Note: I have oily skin. So the products listed in this post are the ones that are best suited for me. If you have dry, normal, or combination skin you may want to substitute some of these products for something that may fit your needs a little better.
First, I use LA Girl Pro Conceal Orange Corrector to color correct the dark circles around my mouth.
Next, I'll go in with the Maybelline Fit Me (Matte+Poreless) with a large stippling brush and apply that over my entire face and neck.
After that, I start my highlighting process. To cream highlight, I'll go in with the Wet n Wild Photo Focus Concealer and the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer and apply them both to the high points of my face. (under eyes, bridge of my nose, chin and the middle of my forehead.)
After I've blended out the concealer, I'll powder my face. Starting with the highlighted areas, I'll take a medium/ golden toned powder, like the Makeup Revolution Luxury Baking Powder in Terracotta and set those areas.
Then, I set my whole face with the Black Radiance Pressed Powder. I do this to tone down my highlight and to set the foundation in place as well.
To contour, I use the Black Radiance True Complexion Contour Kit to bring the color back to my face and contour. (I contour around my cheekbones, my forehead, my jawline and occasionally my nose.)
When ending my foundation routine, I spray my face with a setting spray twice. Once with a rose water or a hydrating spray to bring back some moisture to the face. For this my favorite product to use is the Mario Badescu Rose Water Spray.
In Between that, I'll top off my foundation with a highlighting powder. I use the highlight shade in the Black Radiance True Complexion Contour Kit and apply it to the top of my cheekbones, the tip of my nose and the cupid's bow.
And finally, I'll lock everything in the the NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray to tie everything in and to leave no area un-set.
BOOM! You have a flawless base that looks good in any lighting.
